How are you? There are other answers instead of "I'm fine, thank you. And you?" Try these.
- I'm okay.
- I'm nervous.
- I'm angry.
- I'm hungry.
- I'm thirsty.
- I'm tired.
- I'm busy.
Do you remember all these words from our earlier units? If not, use your dictionary!
Now, today's activity requires you to listen to an American English speaker. Remember, it is okay to use the PAUSE button if he speaks too quickly!
In the video, the man says "Have you got the time?" This is the same as "What time is it?"
He also talks about ways to tell time.
For example: "It's five to six". This means there are five minutes until (hasta) 6 o'clock or 5:55.
Homework Activity:
Please write and say the times I am writing below (abajo). Later this week, I will post a video of ME(!) correcting the homework and saying the answers for you to check!
Write the times in WORDS. Example: 4:30 - It's half past four.
1) 2:30
2) 1:15
3) 4:45
4) 11:30
5) 8:55
6) 9:55
7) 10:30
8) 12:45
9) 7:50
10) 5:40
Please complete this by Friday to hear my answers and check.
Have fun!
Michael
