Present Continuous Practice

Hi there, sixth grade!!
It's Kendall, I hope you all are doing well!

Let's do some practice with the present continuous verb form!

We use the present continuous in 3 different situations-

1. To talk about something happening right now (in this moment)
1. EX: I am studying right now. 
2. To talk about a temporary situation 
1. EX: My sister is staying at the hotel in Madrid. 
3. To talk about something happening in the near future (tomorrow, next week, next month)
1. EX: We are visiting our grandparents next week. 

To form the present continuous we use the subject, the verb to be, our main verb + -ing

I am writing my essay.

My mom is cooking dinner.

She is playing football tonight.

We are watching a movie. 

Practice: 

1.  She _____ _____________ (to draw) a picture for art class.
2. We _____ _____________ (to bake) a cake for her birthday. 
3. I _____ _____________ (to listen) to the radio right now. 
4. They _____ ____________ (to dance) in the family room.
